Designed with the Help of Professionals from 49 World Renowned Art Institutions.
Museum Space is an end-to-end Museum Management Software Suite developed to help Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums make the World’s Cultural Treasure accessible to and meaningful for all.
Guided by museum workers and museum IT specialists, Museum Space stores and links documents, images, notes and legacy materials in a way that fits the way most museum institutions work.
The project started 7 years with the development of a fully functioning, open-source software application (ConservationSpace) that would serve the diverse Conservation community. It was financed by Mellon Foundation and we worked in partnership with the National Gallery of Art (USA) as lead institution and Courtauld Institute of Art, Denver Art Museum, Indianapolis Museum of Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Statens Museum for Kunst (Denmark), and Yale University. Quite naturally the application evolved from a module specific for the conservators to an enterprise platform that covers the all the needs of a museum institution.
